Humanoid robots are being mostly developed by japanese car companies such as Honda. The robots are not for serious tasks but playful games n for development of AI and for media. Boston dynamics built a robot which does this where the movement resembles a dog and is very high tech and refined; a very sophistocated piece of technology.
