cold war hot houses

What I found interesting about this piece of reading was that the writer indicates that during the design during the cold war. People were incorporating safety and comfort in there designs. As I thought about it, it made me think that the people were trying to forget about what was going on or were scared so they look for the comfort of there home or every day life before the cold war started. So I thing that they introduced it into there designs. That’s what I thing that was a big concept in that reading.
